ZMF Presents An All-New Handcrafted Open-Back Headphone - The Caldera
ZMF introduces a new addition to their open-back headphone lineup - the Caldera. The Caldera houses a planar magnetic driver for clean sound. It is meticulously engineered with Caldera Asymmetrical Magnet Structure (CAMS), Patent Pending Atrium damping system and new Caldera Pads, ensuring a transformative sound. The ZMF Caldera comes bundled with a high-quality audio cable for seamless sound transmission. With the Caldera, you are all set to rediscover your music
80mm Planar Magnetic Driver For Clean Sound
The ZMF Caldera houses an 80mm planar magnetic driver with a 2nm thickness, producing detailed sound in your listening experience. It has an impedance of 65 ohms and a sensitivity range of 95 dB/mW, making it compatible with a range of DACs and amplifiers, requiring sufficient power to drive effectively.
Meticulously Tuned For Ultimate Clarity
The ZMF Caldera evolves from ZMF's roots in T50 modding, blending modern technology for an enhanced sound experience. It aims to provide a better and adaptable soundstage like the Atrium, with the weight and precision of planar magnetic drivers. The Caldera excels in mid-range and treble clarity with the ZMF's damping systems and magnet airflow, delivering a vivid and nimble sound akin to top-tier dynamic headphones.
New CAMS Design For Better Airflow
The ZMF Caldera features a unique magnet structure called CAMS (Caldera Asymmetrical Magnet Structure), designed in the shape of a mountain (triangular). This design stimulates air dispersion and maintains a slightly uneven magnetic force, enabling the membrane to vibrate more evenly and push a significant volume of air towards the ear while also diffusing it effectively.
Patent Pending Damping System For Balanced Sound
The ZMF Caldera also features a Patent Pending Atrium damping system, ensuring a balanced frequency response with impactful bass, rich sound and the natural tonality that ZMF is renowned for, providing an exceptional listening experience.

What is the Caldera Asymmetrical Magnet Structure (CAMS)
CAMS is a patent-pending magnet structure shaped like a volcano or mountain, designed to allow natural air dispersion and maintain an asymmetric magnet force for enhanced sound diffusion towards the ear.
What are Caldera Pads?
Caldera Pads are a new earpad design for the Caldera headphones. They feature a fluted shape, similar to a volcano, with varying depths from the driver side to the ear side. This design helps retain air pressure on the baffle/headphone side while keeping the ear cavity feeling open.
What wood is used for the stock version of the Caldera headphones?
The stock version of the Caldera headphones is made from American White Oak, finished in a Clay finish, with a black grille and burgundy backing cloth.
Are there any recommended amplifiers or DACs to pair with the Caldera headphones?
The Caldera headphones are designed to work well with a variety of amplifiers and DACs. While they can be driven by a wide range of audio equipment, some users may prefer pairing them with high-quality amplifiers or DACs to fully maximize their performance potential.
How does the impedance and sensitivity of the Caldera headphones affect their performance?
The Caldera headphones have an impedance of 65 Ohms and a sensitivity of approximately 95dB/mW. These specifications contribute to their compatibility with a wide range of audio sources and their ability to deliver impactful sound with various devices.
